Overview

For the very first time outside London and New York, the three-time Olivier Award-winning musical The Curious Case of Benjamin Button arrives in Brisbane in October 2027 for a strictly limited time.

Winner of Best New Musical at the 2025 Olivier Awards and hailed as “THE BEST BRITISH MUSICAL IN DECADES” (WhatsOnStage), this acclaimed West End phenomenon has captured hearts in London and New York. Now its extraordinary journey continues in Australia.

Reimagined from the timeless short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby, the musical transports Benjamin’s story to a fishing village on the Cornish coast.

Born old and destined to grow younger each day, Benjamin wants nothing more than to live a little life and find somewhere to belong. But when he meets the love of his life, he discovers a love that defies time itself.

Brought spectacularly to life by 15 actor-musicians playing 30 instruments, this extraordinary production bursts with a foot-stomping, heart-stirring live score and inventive theatrical storytelling.

Epic in scale yet intimate in feeling, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a joyous, life-affirming celebration of love, life and the moments that matter – reminding us all to make every second count.
