Overview
QPAC’s longest running event, Spirit of Christmas, returns this December to the iconic QPAC Concert Hall for uplifting seasonal song and much-loved Christmas carols.
Joining us for our most celebrated concert of the year are four extraordinary Australian and New Zealand artists: internationally acclaimed New Zealand-Tongan tenor Filipe Manu, whose career has taken him to many of the world’s leading opera houses; musical theatre favourite Elise McCann (Beetlejuice, Matilda The Musical, MAMMA MIA! The Musical); award-winning First Nations composer, musician and performer Waveney Yasso; and host Alinta Chidzey, star of Moulin Rouge! The Musical, CHICAGO and West Side Story. Together, they promise an unforgettable evening of music, storytelling and festive celebration.
Our star‑studded line up will be supported by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Simon Kenway, and the glorious singers of Voices of Birralee and our Spirit of Christmas Choir – including members of the QPAC Chamber Choir, Cappella Chorale and Children’s Health Queensland Community Choir.
QPAC’s Spirit of Christmas is a celebration of the true meaning of the festive season; an occasion to rejoice and reflect on the year that has passed and embrace the season’s enduring message of peace, love and joy.
