Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Overview

A school musical like no other.

As featured in the ABC Landline documentary Outback Musical, students from Longreach School of Distance Education (LSODE) unite from across remote Queensland to create and perform their own original production despite living thousands of kilometres apart.

In their 7th biennial musical, 100 student performers will travel to Brisbane for the first time, bringing their energy and talent to the Playhouse stage in Grossbusters, a hilarious and high-spirited work by American playwright Craig Hawes.

Oozing with catchy songs, crazy characters and comic chaos, Grossbusters is a monstrously hilarious musical that celebrates difference, champions individuality, and proves that being yourself is the bravest thing of all.

If you're looking for a show that's a guaranteed monster hit, who ya gonna call? Grossbusters!
