About the Australian True Crime Team

Meshel Laurie

Meshel Laurie has always been fascinated by true crime and exploring some of the darkest corners of human nature. As the host for the popular podcast Australian True Crime, Meshel works to uncover the truth and give a voice to victims and families affected by violent crime.

In 2023 Meshel published the book Grave Secrets: Giving Victims a Voice Through Forensics. Meshel is also a comedian and has worked on TV and in radio.

Dr Xanthé Mallett

Forensic anthropologist and Criminologist, Dr Xanthé Mallett, has become something of a true crime superstar in recent years. She has studied at Cambridge and received a scholarship from the FBI, among other achievements.

Dr Xanthé will be the special guest at Australian True Crime LIVE and will take part in a live Q&A during the show. The episode The Story Behind the Evidence with Dr Xanthé Mallett is available now, wherever you get your podcasts.
