Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Overview

As part of the 2026 Brisbane Open House program, QPAC is proud to open its doors for a rare behind-the-scenes look at its newest venue, the Glasshouse Theatre, on Sunday, 19 July 2026.

For over 40 years, QPAC has been the home of live performance in Queensland – a place where audiences and artists connect, learn, and share stories. The opening of the Glasshouse Theatre in March 2026 has made QPAC the largest performing arts centre under one roof in Australia, paving the way for QPAC to increase its visitation by an extra 300,000 people to 1.6 million visitors per year.

General public access to front of house spaces (foyers) will be available for free from 9am to 2pm. Information about the building will be available on signage throughout the foyers, offering insights into its architectural and technical innovations. No tickets or pre-booking required.

A limited number of Guided Backstage Tours will also be offered for reservations in advance. See below for more information.
