Overview

This feel-good concert features some of the most recognisable and beloved piece in the classical canon, as chosen by you

A beautiful orchestration of Debussy’s treasured Clair de lune reveals its subtly impressionistic colour, while The Blue Danube and the light and playful Pizzicato from Delibes’ ballet Sylvia will have you swaying in your seat.

Winner of Queensland Symphony Orchestra’s (QSO) 2026 Young Instrumentalist Prize, 15-year-old violinist Kexin Li showcases her undeniable talent in the first movement of Lalo’s virtuosic Symphonie espagnole, which shows off the full range of the violin from its lyrical lows to its stratospheric highs.

Conducted by Dane Lam, this concert is full of music you know and love – the perfect outing for Valentine’s Day.
