Australian soprano Siobhan Stagg, praised for her “angelic voice” (Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger) and “ethereal stage presence” (Sydney Morning Herald), is recognised as one of the leading lyric sopranos of her generation. A member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin ensemble from 2013 to 2019, she sang principal roles including Pamina, Tytania and Micaëla before establishing an international career on many of the world’s foremost stages.

Career highlights include Cendrillon at Lyric Opera of Chicago; Pamina and Susanna at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; Sophie at Opernhaus Zürich and Staatsoper Berlin; Mélisande at Opéra de Dijon; and appearances with Hamburg State Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Dutch National Opera and Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.

A distinguished concert artist, she has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Gürzenich Cologne, Wiener Symphoniker and Staatskapelle Dresden.

Stagg was awarded the Key to the City of Mildura (2023), becoming the third recipient in the city’s history. She is a Fellow of Trinity College, Melbourne, and a Board Director of the Melba Opera Trust.

Acclaimed for his exemplary and spirited playing, chamber musician and accompanist Jonathan Ware is a regular guest at the world’s leading recital venues, and recent appearances include Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, the John F. Kennedy Centre, Elbphilharmonie, Philharmonie Luxembourg, L’Auditori, the Concertgebouw, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Pierre Boulez Saal.

With Golda Schultz, Jonathan Ware has developed several distinctive recital projects. These include Dark Matter(s) and their acclaimed programme This Be Her Verse, dedicated to female composers, brought to stages across Europe and North America. This Be Her Verse was also recorded for Alpha Classics and praised for Jonathan Ware’s “especially fine form” (BBC Music Magazine) and “theatrical sensibility” (The New York Times). Recordings with Timothy Ridout, Ludwig Mittelhammer, Elsa Dreisig, Sharon Carty and Olivier Stankiewicz further reflect the breadth of his artistic collaborations.
