Overview

Alive on stage

From the company behind the award-winning stage spectacles Jane Eyre, A Christmas Carol and Dracula – comes Mary Shelley’s electrifying tale of creation and humanity, retold in a large-scale theatrical event.

Victor Frankenstein, a brilliantly ambitious young scientist, pushes the boundaries of theory and morality to create a living being from the remains of the dead. But playing God has its consequences.

Shunned by society and plagued by an inherited sense of confusion and rage, Victor’s miracle of science becomes a monster that threatens to destroy everything his creator holds dear.

Can Victor redeem his unthinkable actions, or will he succumb to the horrors of his own making?

Realised by an extraordinary creative team and combining mind blowing production elements with the moving power of virtuosic storytelling, Frankenstein promises a night of thrilling theatre of monstrous proportions.

Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein by nationally revered shake & stir theatre co, only at the Playhouse QPAC.
