Welcome to the QPAC Lyric Theatre! We're thrilled to have you as our guest for a spectacular performance.
Here's what you can expect when you visit us:
The Lyric Theatre is our largest venue, perfect for opera, ballet, and large-scale theatre events, including musical theatre. With its stunning 2,000 seats, the theatre offers a traditional horseshoe shape and faces Melbourne Street, offering city views from the riverside foyer. The auditorium features continental seating with stalls and two levels of balconies, allowing for excellent access and seating options for wheelchair users and patrons with mobility difficulties.
The Lyric Theatre is renowned for its exceptional acoustics, spacious main and rear stages, orchestra pit, and magical atmosphere, making it the preferred venue for local, interstate, and international performers.
When you arrive, our foyers will open 90 minutes before your performance, giving you plenty of time to explore and get settled in. The closest parking options are the Performing Arts Car Park or the Art Gallery/Museum car park, both conveniently located nearby.
