Welcome to Storytellers
Storytelling is the heartbeat of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). It’s in every curtain call, every hushed moment before the first line is spoken. Storytellers, the café at QPAC, draws from that same energy—creating a space where stories are shared over coffee, pastries, beautifully curated dishes, and quiet moments between acts. Whether you are in the mood for an early coffee or a casual meeting spot, our new morning menu is perfect for breakfast. Enjoy our all-day menu with options for different diets and explore our extensive drink menu, featuring local flavours and drinks.
A laid-back and welcoming outdoor setting that seamlessly flows into the vibrant Melbourne Street Green, Storytellers is a nod to the charm and appeal of the Queensland outdoor lifestyle. Storytellers features collaborations with local creatives and producers, including wallpaper by beloved designer Anna Spiro and custom tables crafted from the concrete of our QPAC building by Five Mile Radius.
Storytellers isn’t just a name; it’s a feeling. It’s about connection, atmosphere, and being part of something bigger—whether on stage, in the audience, or at the table.
Attending a show? Storytellers is conveniently located near the Concert Hall and Lyric Theatre and is open for both pre- and post-matinee, as well as pre-evening performances. Bookings are not required.
