Key Details
Where is On the Banks held?
Look for two Brisbane icons: the BRISBANE sign and the Wheel of Brisbane. On the Banks sits right between them, on the Cultural Forecourt, South Bank, along the Brisbane River and beside QPAC. Still unsure? Click here for the address on Google Maps.
When is the event on?
The concert series runs across select weekends in February and March 2026. Each night features a different artist or themed program.
What’s the age policy?
Most On the Banks shows* are 15+, and anyone under 18 must be joined by an adult.
If you’re 18+, make sure you’ve got one of these on hand (digital or hard copy):
- Australian driver’s licence or learner’s permit
- Passport
- Adult proof-of-age card
- Keypass or equivalent
- Foreign driver’s licence
If you don’t have valid ID, we may need to refuse entry – even with a ticket.
*Disco Club and the Peach PRC VIP Soundcheck Party Package are strictly 18+.
Is general admission standing?
Yep! All events are standing GA. Your ticket might show a “seat number”, but it’s just a ticket reference – not an actual seat. PS: BYO chairs aren’t allowed.
Tickets & Entry
How do I get tickets?
Each show in the On the Banks series is a separately ticketed, standing, general-admission (GA) event. Tickets are available online on each event page or by phone on 136 246. If you prefer to book in person, a temporary QTIX box office will be open 60 minutes before gates at the entry point for all On the Banks events.
When will I receive my tickets?
You’ll receive your tickets 48 hours before your show. Tickets will be sent via email and scanned at entry; patrons on the same booking are encouraged to arrive together.
QTIX is the official ticketing service for QPAC, with selected packages through authorised resellers.
What should I expect at the gate?
There is one main Entry Point for On the Banks events. Check the event map below for the exact location. At the gate, our team will guide you through bag checks, security screening, ID checks, and cloaking any items not permitted inside. Illegal items will be confiscated.
Can I get a pass out?
Once you’re in, you’re in! For safety and licensing reasons, pass outs aren’t allowed, so please make sure you’ve got everything you need before you enter.
Is there a babes in arms policy?
Yes. While these events are age-restricted, babies under 18 months may attend if carried in arms or in an on-person baby carrier. Prams and strollers can’t enter the site, and hearing protection isn’t available on site.

Behaviour & Safety at On the Banks
Go With the Flow
On the Banks is all about good vibes on the river. That means looking out for each other and keeping the atmosphere welcoming for everyone. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, harassment, being overly rowdy, invading personal space, or having one too many – none of that fits the spirit of the series. We’re here to celebrate music, community, and connection. Let’s treat each other with the same energy: love your neighbour, love the staff, love the artists bringing the magic to the stage.
Phones
We get it – you want to capture the moment. But we also want everyone behind you to see the moment. So, if you can, keep the phone low and be present in the atmosphere.
Vantage Points
The Cultural Forecourt is a flat riverside space, which means everyone helps shape the view. If getting up close to the action is important to you, we recommend arriving early to secure a great spot.
Moshpits
Some artists will bring high‑energy crowds, and that can mean a moshpit. If you’re new to moshing, we recommend enjoying the show from outside the pit – there are plenty of great vantage points without the push and pull.
If you’re heading into the mosh, be respectful, stay aware of the people around you, and help keep the space safe and fun for everyone.
And if you ever feel unsafe, spot something not quite right, or need assistance, please reach out to our Security or QPAC staff. We’re here to help.
