Join Southern Cross Soloists (SXS) at QPAC in 2024 for a musical voyage that delves into the concept of romanticism.
“We explore this concept of romance...encompassing the mystical and transformative aspects of alchemy, the captivating and enigmatic melodies of the Mediterranean, and the artistic blossoming and multicultural vibrancy that characterised the Belle Époque era in Europe.” Tania Frazer, Southern Cross Soloists’ Artistic Director
Piano megastar Konstantin Shamray promises to dazzle for a third year in a row as SXS Artist in Residence. In 2024, SXS are joined by many guest soloists including Amalia Hall violin, Nina Korbe soprano and SXS Didgeridoo Soloist in Residence, Chris Williams.
2024 highlights include Mozart’s Piano Concerto in C minor, Saint‑Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 5 “The Egyptian”, Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir d’un lieu cher, Op. 42: Méditation and two world premiere compositions.
