BrisAsia Beats

How QPAC played a part in BrisAsia Festival 2022

Less than 1 min read

Returning in February 2022 for its 10th year, BrisAsia Festival presents a program that celebrates a dynamic fusion of Asian art, culture and cuisine across more than 50 events. The program features live performances by internationally acclaimed artists, outdoor festivities and intimate cultural encounters across traditional and contemporary art forms.

We were proud to partner with Sounds Across Oceans to stage BrisAsia Beats, a free evening of music under the stars featuring two local masters of the groove May Lyn and Night Palms.

Have a look at how it all went down, and hear about May Lyn and Night Palms’ different pathways to the QPAC stage.

This BrisAsia Beats event was presented by Brisbane City Council as part of BrisAsia Festival, and produced by Sounds Across Oceans in partnership with QPAC.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors – our First Nations Peoples – gives strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, towards creating a better Queensland.
