Connecting children with their artistic and literary potential
Two of Australia’s leading artists – writer Libby Hathorn and composer Elena Kats-Chernin – along with a team of expert performance makers, took Libby’s book Outside, and explored its transformation into an opera for children in a shared space between the artists, creatives, children, and their adults.
Before, During, After is a space to share stories and new ideas – where you can meet and interact with leading professional artists, to share the love of arts, literature and performance. The program aims to include children in the creative process through sharing and questioning, examining what it means to be an artist and how artists arrive at their original ideas – connecting children with their artistic and creative lives.
