Acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors give strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both First Nations and non-First Nations peoples, towards creating a better Queensland.

Ballet Preljocaj – Swan Lake

QPAC International Series 2025 | Exclusive to Brisbane

31 May to 7 June 2025

The breathtaking Ballet Preljocaj returned to Queensland after nearly a decade, presenting a Swan Lake like no other.

Under the visionary direction of renowned choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, France’s leading contemporary ballet company reimagined Tchaikovsky’s timeless tale of love and betrayal into a modern-day tragedy. Known for their bold reimagining of classic ballet stories, dramatic choreography, and spectacular design, Ballet Preljocaj performed this masterpiece in Australia for the first time, with music performed live by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra conducted by Johannes Fritzsch.

This rare and extraordinary event was part of the heralded return of QPAC’s International Series, exclusive to Brisbane.
