About the Artists

Richard Brider
Performing on: Sat 17 May 2025
Richard Brider is a 23-year-old jazz pianist studying at the Jazz Music Institute here in Brisbane. He has been playing piano for around 20 years but has made the seamless transition from classical to jazz. He hopes to bring his new found love and appreciation for the music to as many people as possible. Richard will be exploring a number of jazz standards in his performance which he hopes will be a fantastic end to an already great night of music for QPAC audiences.”

Sam Salvador
Performing on: Sat 24 May 2025
Sam Salvador is a 3rd year Popular Music student studying at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Since the age of 5, Sam has had an intense passion for all things musical, taking up a variety of instruments through the years. Studying piano under Mitchell Dormer, Sam has taken to a multitude of genres from Jazz, Pop, RnB, Fusion and more, always eager to explore. Sam is an active musician within the local Brisbane music scene, performing in several bands as well as setting aside time as a private music teacher and session musician. He is equally passionate about sharing his music and story with others and is currently investigating opportunities to travel and perform internationally.

Patrick Baldwin

Jazz Music Institute student and Brisbane Musical Theatre répétiteur, Patrick Baldwin, is an aspiring young jazz and theatre pianist. He performs regularly in musical theatre productions across the greater Brisbane region displaying his prowess as a multifaceted instrumentalist and genuine passion for the art form.
To complement your theatre-going experience, Patrick is excited to deliver a variety of musical theatre favourites with a refreshing and relaxing ‘cocktail piano style’ twist tailored to create a perfectly balanced musical end to an unforgettable night out at QPAC.
