We are delighted to confirm that Southern Cross Soloists’ third and final anniversary season concert will be proceeding in the Concert Hall Sunday, 18 October 2020 at 3pm.

Unfortunately, due to challenges presented by COVID‑19, the Slava Grigoryan program will be postponed until 2021 so he will no longer be appearing as our special guest artist at the 18 October 2020 concert. Southern Cross Soloists will now present SXS Returns to officially close their silver anniversary season.

In their first live concert since February, Southern Cross Soloists will bring their flair for the dramatic to QPAC with a program of unbridled virtuosity and exquisite beauty, including thrilling works by Telemann, Grieg, Verdi, Richard Strauss and Liszt as well as the sounds of Australia. The program will feature international Didgeridoo soloist Chris Williams (currently SXS’ Artist in Residence) delivering Sean O’Boyle’s Earth, Fire Didgeridoo Concerto, and this year’s Opera Queensland Young Artist and rising starlet, soprano Rebecca Cassidy in celebration of SXS’ 25 years of exquisite chamber music.
