One of the world’s greatest exponents of bel canto (beautiful singing), Sumi Jo, will make her eagerly anticipated return to Brisbane in a thrilling concert, Mad for Love.

The legendary soprano will be partnered by dashing Argentine born José Carbó, now one of Australia’s best loved baritones. Together, with acclaimed pianist Guy Noble, they will ignite the stage with passionate renditions of a diverse range of repertoire - from the well-known classics of opera and operetta, to the tango, and even a meltingly beautiful folk song from Sumi Jo’s native Korea.

Described by the legendary maestro Herbert von Karajan as having “a voice from above”, Sumi Jo is one of the most in demand singers on the international stage. Her astonishing vocal technique and purity of tone captivate audiences, and she is also renowned for her magnificent dress changes throughout a performance.

Join us at the QPAC Concert Hall for an unparalleled night of romance and glamour.
