Join our education series for a morning of magnificent music brought to life by Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Experience Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides (Fingal’s Cave), an evocative work inspired by the dramatic Scottish landscape. Then enjoy a snapshot of Bruckner’s epic Romantic Symphony No. 4, a world of medieval pageantry, knights, woodlands and wild dancing. Bruckner’s fondness for the French horn permeates this work, which may be why many believe this piece influenced John Williams’ theme for Star Wars. The concert will also feature a performance by the winner of our Young Instrumentalist Prize. This concert is part of our Engage series, which is an educational series for older school students. There will be school groups in attendance at the concert and the concert will feature a presenter.
