We open our 2019 series with Celtic Mist, featuring the full orchestra with special guest artists Gregory Moore and Sarah Calderwood. Sarah, who mesmerised our audience two years ago will again delight you with her beautiful voice and enchanting Irish flute playing. The ever-popular Pops Pin-up boy Gregory Moore will make his return in tartan in the genre that made him so famous. There will be choirs and dancers in all things Celtic that will certainly make this a magical show. Also making a special appearance will be Kevin Higgins, performing on the haunting Uilleann Pipes. Of course, no Celtic Pops would be complete without a dazzling display of pipes and drums … and we guarantee the BBC Pipes and Drums fresh back from their performances at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo will have you ‘slaving to the rhythm’ from start to spectacular finish!

We are also very excited to announce the world famous OzScott Australian Dancers will join us on that concert as well as the Watkins Academy of Irish Dance. Collectively, our guest dancers have won a plethora of State and National titles and are ranked among the very best in the world. Watch them showcase the power, grace and energy that epitomises the great Celtic tradition – and be amazed by the sheer excellence on show.

Maestro Patrick Pickett CSM has put together a program of traditional Celtic favourites and commissioned new arrangements for these spectacular concerts which will leave you the audience both nostalgic and uplifted.

The program will include music performed at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2018. Male voice choirs from the award-winning Birralee Blokes will stun with some Welsh favourites and well as the full choir including the Brisbane Voices of Birralee. Gregory Moore will headline the program and Sarah Calderwood will join him in some Celtic favourites including the haunting “Orphan Girl”. One of the most popular pieces of music performed in recent times is “The Parting Glass” and this special arrangement for the Pops will be a highlight of the night.
