Celebrating the beloved original, Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady, directed by Julie Andrews, is now playing at the Lyric Theatre, only until 30 April.
The Cinderella story about the cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle and the appealingly arrogant phoneticist, Henry Higgins, is an endearing tale that charms audiences with its warmth and vivid characters.
Headlining the company is acclaimed theatre, film, and television actor Charles Edwards (Downton Abbey), as Henry Higgins and the young Australian star, Anna O’Byrne, as Eliza Doolittle. Joining them is an outstanding cast. Reg Livermore will play the role of Alfred P. Doolittle. Robyn Nevin will play Mrs. Higgins and Mark Vincent will play Freddy. The role of Colonel Pickering will be played by Tony Llewellyn-Jones and Deidre Rubenstein will play Mrs. Pearce.
This is a theatre event not to be missed.
