ARIA-nominated Australian musician, Mojo Juju, provides an intimate look at the stories behind the songs from her third solo album Native Tongue.

Contemplating her mother’s Indigenous heritage, her father’s experience as a Filipino immigrant and her own place in the cultural landscape of modern Australia, Native Tongue blends Soul, RnB, Blues and Hip Hop in a show about self-discovery, revealing the true stories that inspired the songs from her latest release.

Through the telling of her family history and her own personal experiences Mojo Juju explores her relationships with Elders and ancestry and how that informs her own identity.

Native Tongue will also feature guest appearances from Joshua Tavares and MIRRAH:

By night Joshua Tavares is a singer in high demand and key part of Melbourne's soul music scene. A core member of beloved bands including Gospel Sundays, Le Soul and many more, Joshua performs with a charismatic flair, bringing a unique sense of fun to each and every performance.

Joshua is a lifelong Collingwood resident, personality and passionate community advocate. By day he works at the Collingwood Neighbourhood House and is the brains behind popular community event the Collingwood Underground Roller Disco. Joshua is driven by a passion to create change in his local community by hosting positive events and activities that empower and inspire those around him.

MIRRAH is a passionate jazz, hip hop, soul artist with a strong message of self-empowerment, positivity, and unity through loving oneself authentically. When she's not lighting up stages as the hypest live performance MC for L-FRESH The LION's on festivals, arena halftime sporting events and MTV India, she is giving audiences beautiful musical composition as a solo artist in her own right. MIRRAH’s latest EP entitled LOVE, released in early 2019 exemplifies her spirit, energy and soul with her raspy vocals and melodic flows.
