WHAT TO EXPECT
Join us for a special 60-minute shot of Baroque music – with a shot of coffee on arrival. Baroque music holds a significant place in the heart of Camerata’s repertoire and year after year, our audience asks for more. This divine one-hour daytime concert features music by famous names like Handel and Corelli alongside lesser known gems by Dall’Abaco. It will be sure to leave you with the contentment and glow of a glorious Queensland winter’s morning.
Corelli Concerto Grosso in D Major, Op.6 No.4
Handel Concerto Grosso in A Major, Op.6 No.11
Purcell Chacony in G Minor
Locatelli Concerto for Four Violins in F Major, Op.4 No.12
Dall’Abaco Concerto à più instrumenti in E Major, Op.6 No.11
“Baroque music has an uncanny way of getting under the skin of everyone, be they in their early childhood or in their twilight years. I’m really looking forward to this very special program that is definitely one to introduce first-time concert goers to Baroque music, whatever their age!” A note from Shannon Tobin (Cellist)
Note: Arrive 30 mins ahead for tea/coffee.
