It would be a crime to miss the razzle dazzle Broadway hit…
There’s a site, where the physical and spiritual meet. Where the passing of lore between two coexisting worlds occurs. Boomerangs clap, possum skin drums thud, singing and chanting echo while feet rhythmically stomp. And then silence.
Conversation has been disconnected and commutes have ceased. The site is suspended; no longer activated.
Karul Projects invite you to experience the story of this site as a physical being in CO_EX_EN, a riveting new First Nations contemporary dance creation by Thomas E.S. Kelly. Using wit, humour and a choreographic style that is all his own, Kelly ignites a conversation about our past, present and future. The performance will be followed by a 15 minute Q&A.
