Celebrate with us as Australian Youth Orchestra Return to the Stage.
The Australian Youth Orchestra, the pinnacle of musical excellence for young people across the nation, returns to the stage this July with Richard Strauss’ heroic masterpiece, An Alpine Symphony. Images of nature and rugged landscapes are beautifully depicted in this sonic portrait composed in 1915.
The 70 minute program will also feature the spectacular overture of Hector Berlioz’s famous unfinished opera Les francs-juges under the expert leadership of renowned British conductor, Sir Mark Elder.
Join us this July as Australia’s best young musical talent traverses through the mountaintops under the baton of one of the greats.

We pay our respects to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, their spirits and their legacy. The foundations laid by these ancestors – our First Nations Peoples – gives strength, inspiration and courage to current and future generations, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, towards creating a better Queensland.
