QPAC's Out of the Box Festival for 3 to 8 Year Olds
This year, for the first time, the Out of the Box Festival is co-presented by all the Partners of the Cultural Centre – Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Museum South Bank, State Library of Queensland and Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
A QPAC initiative, Out of the Box is Australia’s leading arts and cultural festival for this age group and, in collaboration with early childhood teachers, artists and researchers, has been developing extraordinary arts experiences for children since 1992.
In putting together the 2008 Festival program for Out of the Box, we have worked around a simple theme – Sharing our Stories.

15th Annual 4MBS Festival of Classics 11 - 31 MAY 2008
The 15th Annual 4MBS Festival of Classics, still Australia's largest classical music festival, is on again in Brisbane.
This year, the Festival will feature one of great music's legendary giants - Ludwig van Beethoven - and, also, celebrate the 150th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini, born on 22 December 1858.
With twenty-one events involving a dozen venues, the Festival will run from the 11th to the 31st May concluding with a Puccini Spectacular at Brisbane's St John's Cathedral.
