How to Book

Tickets to all QPAC events are sold through QPAC's ticketing operation, qtix. Tickets can be purchased online from the event pages of this website, by phone on 136 246, mail or in person at QPAC or at other qtix outlets. Check qtix box office opening hours or the location of qtix outlets. More information.

What to Wear?

Many people ask about QPAC's dress code. While we don't have a dress code as such, anything from smart casual is appropriate. People tend to dress in a range of different styles at events at QPAC, so it's up to your personal preference.

Bags and Cloak Rooms

For the safety and comfort of QPAC patrons, all backpacks and large bags must be checked into our cloakroom prior to entering the theatre. This service is free. Please allow extra time to make use of cloak Room facilities.
Each theatre has a dedicated Cloak Room. It is recommended to cloak all large bags, umbrellas and other items. The locations of the Cloak Rooms are as follows.

  • Lyric Theatre and Concert Hall - Ticket Sales Foyer, Level M
  • Playhouse - Level 1 (River side of foyer)
  • Cremorne Theatre - Entry Level adjacent to Box Office

There is no cost to cloak your items and Cloak Rooms are staffed or locked at all times.

Need a boost?

Cloak Rooms also have booster cushions for younger audience members. Please ask the Cloak Room attendant.

Latecomers and Lockout Periods

Please be on time for your performance. To minimise interruptions to the performers and other patrons, latecomers will not be admitted into the auditorium until a suitable break in the performance, as nominated by the Stage Manager. Construction work around South Bank and other activity such as matches at nearby football stadiums can cause delays in traffic. Please allow sufficient travel time to allow for possible delays or plan to catch the train or bus.

Mobile phones and cameras

It is critical to the safety of performers and enjoyment of other patrons that there are no mobile phones (including SMS and MMS messaging), flash bulbs, or video cameras used during the performance.

Food and drink

Unless otherwise advised, food and drink are not permitted in the auditorium as a workplace health and safety precaution. Bottled water is permitted.

No smoking

In line with Queensland Government Legislation, QPAC is a smoke free environment. Smoking is not permitted within the building or in the open spaces around the building. This includes all balconies, eating areas and the Cascade Court. We appreciate your co-operation in this matter.
