KITE Arts Education Program @ QPAC is committed to developing high production value, in-theatre performances for prep to year three students. KITE believes that children in the 21st century are skilled in their reading of aesthetics and demand the same complexity and sophistication of performance enjoyed by adults.

KITE's production content is driven by KITE teacher artists' commitment to investigative learning processes and is concerned with the complex questions of childhood. Performances celebrate the validity of children's lived experiences and their potential to determine their present and future selves. KITE creates contemporary performance pieces that position children as both participants in and recipients of the work. KITE collaborates with some of Australia's leading artists in the development of intensely visual performances that aim to rouse curiosity and stimulate children's imagination.
