Traffic Updates and Notices

QPAC is located in a vibrant part of the city, with many events occurring, particularly on the weekends.

Busy crowds, traffic changes and Queensland Rail track work can sometimes cause travel delays, which may affect your arrival time at QPAC. To avoid missing the start of your performance, we strongly suggest you plan your transport and leave home early to avoid any delays and arrive in good time to enjoy your show.


21 October – 13 November 2014

Ticket holders for events at QPAC in this period are advised to plan their journey by checking information on the websites of G20Queensland Police, Translink or Brisbane City Council and allowing extra travel time to QPAC.

There will be progressive road closures from 24 October to 13 November, changes to transport and limited car parking around South Brisbane during this time.

The following car parks will be closed on selected dates:

  • Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC): 21 October to 22 November.
  • Cultural Precinct Car Parks (QPAC Riverside Car Park, Art Gallery Museum Car Park and Stanley Place Car Park): 7am Friday 14 November to 8.30am Sunday 16 November.

We recommend during this period you plan your journey carefully, consider public transport and allow more time for your travel to QPAC.

Planning to arrive at QPAC a few hours before your performance is suggested and there are a range of things to do before your performance:

14, 15 and 16 November 2014
QPAC is closed Friday 14 to Sunday 16 November inclusive.

Queensland Museum and Sciencentre, Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art and State Library of Queensland will be closed Friday 14 and Saturday 15 November. Please visit their websites for more specific information about opening hours.


G20 Leaders Summit - 10 to 18 November 2014
Brisbane is the host city for the G20 Leaders Summit in 2014 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank. Ticket holders for events at QPAC during the period 10-13 November 2014 are advised to plan their journey by checking information on the websites of Queensland Police, Translink or Brisbane City Council and allowing extra travel time to QPAC.


21 October to 21 November 2014: BCEC Car park Closed
Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre car parks will be closed for a four week period from 21 October to 21 November. Please check the BCEC website for further updates

QPAC will be closed Friday 14 to Sunday 16 November inclusive. Queensland Museum and Sciencentre, Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art and State Library of Queensland will be closed Friday 14 and Saturday 15 November.
