Mixing classical and jazz idioms with the magic of the Hungarian-gypsy vitality, violinist Roby Lakatos is a global phenomenon whose mastery and musicianship has earned him the title, 'The Devil's Fiddler' and 'The King of Gypsy Violin'.
Blending the fiery rhythms of his gypsy roots with scorching virtuosity and an extraordinary stylistic versatility, Lakatos aims to stir up the wandering spirit. His music shifts effortlessly from gypsy dances to tangos, interpretations of works by Liszt and Brahms sit along side Chick Chorea, Django Reinhardt, Piazzola and Fats Waller, and masterpieces from such films as; Schindler's List, Fiddler on the Roof and The God Father.
