40 years ago one film defined a music, a lifestyle... a generation.
Released in 1972, featuring stunning surfing sequences from Bali, Angourie, Kirra, Oahu, Maui and elsewhere, Morning of the Earth has been universally acclaimed as perhaps the greatest surfing film ever made. But it is much more than that. It is the surf movie that has, and will always, have the biggest impact on surfing in Australia. The soundtrack from Morning Of The Earth was the first Australian soundtrack album to go Gold.
With the blessing of its creator Albe Falzon, Morning Of The Earth has been re-edited and remastered to highlight the simple beauty of one of the few true Australian Classic Films and its story - the dream of every surfer to search for the perfect wave.
Morning Of The Earth LIVE will bring together a veritable who's who of Australia's musicians to breathe new life into this classic soundtrack. Featuring original performers Brian Cadd and Tim Gaze (Taman Shud) and special guests Mike Rudd, Lior, and Gyan.
Performed by some of Australia's greatest musicians, screened at the QPAC Concert Hall, this live performance film event will be the highlight of the 2012 summer season.
