A CHERISHED FAMILY BALLET

With the Queensland Symphony Orchestra

Share in the seasonal magic with Queensland Ballet’s The Nutcracker. When good children should be tucked up in bed, little Clara is still wide awake. The clock chimes midnight – and a wondrous fantasy world unfolds! Led by the valiant Nutcracker, brave toy soldiers defend Clara against giant mice. Transformed into a Prince, the Nutcracker leads Clara on a magical journey to the Kingdom of Sweets to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy.

With the magnificent music of Tchaikovsky and sumptuous sets and costumes, this new production of Ben Stevenson's The Nutcracker is a must-see Christmas treat.

It was absolutely beautiful....stunning the entire performance. The girl who played Clara, was magnificent, as well as the snow flake fairy and the Sugar plum fairy. The prince was also fantastic. Lots of praises from the people who attended the performance tonight as well. I am looking forward to the next performance by QLD Ballet
Loved it

I haven't been to a ballet in over 30 yrs so I had no idea what to expect. I loved it - the set, costumes acting and ballet blew me away into fantasy land. My 5 yr old granddaughter fell asleep in the 2nd act though.

I have seen many a Nutcracker before in Melbourne, but they certainly did not even begin to compare to what I saw last night. It maintained a magic, and splendour for children and adults alike. I will certainly be taking my two grandchildren in 2014 and sincerely hope it will be the same as 2013. Congratulations and Bravo to all concerned.
Absolutely amazing!

I've not written a review before, but I felt I had to about the Nutcracker. I saw this ballet last night and was blown away. The costumes are amazing and the sets are beautiful. I was taken away on a wonderful ride last night and I would recommend this show to everyone. The performances were breathtaking and I really enjoyed the humour at several stages of the performance. I'll be back to see this again next year and I can't wait!
Amazing!
