MAGIC AND ROMANCE

A royal palace, a glittering gown, dancing with a handsome Prince in a candlelit ballroom… such fanciful dreams were only in Cinderella’s imagination. But thanks to her Fairy Godmother, her life of hardship is magically transformed. Making a dazzling entrance to the royal ball, she captures the attention of all and the heart of the Prince. Yet this beautiful dream must end at midnight, and in her haste to depart, she leaves one jewelled slipper behind…

Queensland Ballet’s new production of Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella is charming, humorous and blissfully romantic. Set to Prokofiev’s expressive music, this fairy-tale ballet has been danced by some of the most famous ballerinas of our time, including Margot Fonteyn. Embrace the magic, and believe that dreams really do come true!

Fabulous evening with beautifull costumes and superb dancing. I would recommend that people support the ballet this year as it has got off to a marvelous start. It was certainly worth travelling from interstate just for the ballet.

A marvelous display of talent and professionalism. The set, costumes, choreography, and, of course, the incredible talent of the cast was a rare treat for Brisbane audiences. The orchestra was a particular delight. Their sweeping musical narrative was the backbone of this sensational production, and really brought the show to life. A win for Queensland Ballet

This is the first performance we have attended at QPAC and it will be almost impossible to beat. Amazing production. The dancers, costumes and scene sets were just beautiful. You are engaged from the start and this is made possible by the joy you can see the performers have in their craft. Artistic director Li Cunxin's talent is definitely on stage and you will not be disappointed. Excellent for children. This is a show you could see again.

Absolutely loved it! The dancing was truly amazing, and the sets were absolutely beautiful. I Such a perfect show for the whole family! Thanks QLD Ballet for creating such a magical experience for all to enjoy.

A thoroughly enjoyable ballet. Well presented, Beautifully danced. Lovely costumes and sets. Excellent performances from both Queensland Ballet Company and Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Suitable for all age groups.

What a beautiful performance, my girls were very excited before the show and they came out feeling wanting to be a ballerina. If you are thinking of seeing it....don't think, book the ticket, you will be the father of the year like me.

A really wonderful performance for adult and child alike. The dancing was superb, the costumes were delicate and really beautiful, the backdrops and props were artistic and appropriate. All in all a night to be remembered. Well done Queensland Ballet and QPAC!
