Award-winning blues rock star, guitar hero and singer-songwriter Joe Bonamassa and his ace touring band will perform in concert at the QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane, Queensland on 3 October. The one-night-only show is in support of his brand new solo album Driving Towards The Daylight (J&R Adventures) - releasing worldwide on May 21, 2012 -  as well as the recently released DVD/Blu-ray Joe Bonamassa: Beacon Theatre - Live From New York, which debuted at #3 on the Billboard DVD Chart (just under Adele and Iron Maiden).

Bonamassa tours the world regularly, and his ability to connect with live audiences is epic. He generally has no opening act, and he never leaves the stage until the last encore two hours later. During his 2011 tour, Bonamassa wowed crowds across Australia playing some of the largest tour markets and venues yet, with critically acclaimed reviews from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Newcastle.

Bonamassa has been lauded as one of the world's greatest guitarists and he is fast evolving into a full-blown truly charismatic and mesmerizing blues-rock star; as quoted in Classic Rock Magazine, "They're calling him the future of blues, but they're wrong - Joe Bonamassa is the present; so fresh and of his time that he almost defines it."

A magical night - a succinct but brilliant accoustic set supported by percussion then transcended into a further two hours of raw and powerful playing with guitar solo followed by guitar solo by guitar solo, with the occasional drum routine for counterpoint. Never boring, always entertaining - the night flowed

What an evening with thismaestro . Firstly an appetiser of an acoustic set before a full on electric explosion of awesome guitar playing. A mixture of Joe's own numbers which are soon becoming standards along with a few oldies. Joe gives 101% from the very thirst chord til his last with abundant enthusiasm and craftmanship and his band what an amazing bunch of muso's. I hope QPAC have already booked him for his next tour as this venue is also incredible

I gave two stars only because of Joe. The sound mix was very unprofessional in my opinion and the volume was raised far too much -distorted level!!! What a shame! Joe Bonamassa is such a great guitarist but, his performance was ruined because of the sound system which was so loud that many, and I mean many, were covering their ears. I have never seen this before. Could not pick out more than a word here and there and could not enjoy his wonderful guitar playing. VERY disappointed!

A band as tight as my Uncle Ivor's wallet (my family will know what I am talking about), Les Paul heaven. A highly dynamic band - often keeping us guessing as to what was coming next. Joe B played 3 acoustics for the opening songs and used only two Les Pauls - one with a tremolo bar. All through 3 Marshalls. Joe Bonamassa - incredible player. Vocally reasonable. Very much the boss on stage. Tal Bergman on drums - a concussionist - I am sure my old drummer mates would have loved him. A very John Bonham drum solo thrown in as well. Going by that solo, some may think of a cross between John Bonham and Animal. Carmine Rojas - rock solid on bass. Always set up a driving groove - absolutely as one with Bergman. Rick Melick on keys. Well nobody needs a keyboard player... well except if they're running through a Leslie speaker box. Pretty cool. Given that it was QPAC, and we were seated (though not at the end for the encore), I was very happy. In fact, I don't think I have ever walked out of a concert seeing so many faces absolutely beaming.
