Heston Blumenthal Live on Stage!

This enthralling evening will focus on Heston's unique philosophy and approach to cooking, exploring taste and flavour, and his passion for the multi-sensory experience of eating and drinking. With special guests, the chef of the three Michelin starred Fat Duck Restaurant in the UK and star of Heston's Feasts and the Mission Impossible TV series will conduct live scientific experiments and cook recipes from his latest book 'Heston Blumenthal at Home'. Heston will open people's minds to new paradigms and new ways to approach cooking.

Heston will take us on a journey from humble beginnings to the creation of iconic dishes such as 'The Sound of the Sea' with edible sand, logic defying Hot and Iced Tea, his famous Snail Porridge and the epic Mock Turtle Soup that takes three days to make. Get the inside story on Heston's incredibly moist Christmas puddings with a candied Valencia orange inside which were so popular they sold out in the UK's Waitrose supermarkets in moments with bidding wars on ebay. As it cooks, the essential oils from the orange peel infuse the pudding from the inside out. Now Heston has created a minced pie that promises to make the house smell like a Christmas tree.

Join Heston on a journey searching the archives at Hampton Court for historic British recipes which inspired the creation of new dishes for 'Dinner by Heston Blumenthal' in Knightsbridge, which has just been be awarded its first Michelin star after only nine months in operation.

There is only one Heston and there is only one night - book now!

Great show. Have followed him on TV for the last few years and and he is an excellent performer, it was worth the 1300Klm trip. The show could be called " Heston this your life"
Disappointing

We actually left at half time. Shelling out $200 per ticket for this, a show that also has sponsors (does he need THAT MUCH money?), we were hoping for more. Heston was lack lustre and we were plain old bored. Oddly enough friends who saw the Auckland show LOVED it, and said he was fantastic. Meh.

Not impressed I expected a lot more from Heston, what we saw was either in his book or has been on his tv show, $130 + just to hear him speak was very disappointing.

This man is a genius and his story is fascinating. Would have liked to see him do more cooking though.

While is wasn't a bad show, it was little dissapointing to not see any meals cooked by Heston. The show seemed a little disjointed in its execution, and the presentation was a little flat. I think my excitement at what to expect may have been higher than it should have been. Will have to go the restaurant to get that expectation met i guess.
Very disappointed
