WINNER! BEST MUSICAL 2012 HELPMANN AWARDS!

Seventeen Dancers. Eight Spots. One Dream.

In an empty theatre, on a bare stage, casting for a new Broadway musical is almost complete. For 17 dancers, this audition is the chance of a lifetime. It's what they've worked for - with every drop of sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives. It's the one opportunity to do what they've always dreamed - to have the chance to dance.

This is A Chorus Line, the story of the ones who make it and the ones who don't. Told through captivating song, riveting drama and stunning choreography, they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers.

Based on true stories, A Chorus Line revolutionised Broadway for 15 years becoming the longest running musical in Broadway history. The show won nine Tony Awards®, including 'Best Musical', seven Drama Desk Awards, the New York Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

This dazzling new Broadway Production, featuring Michael Bennett’s inspired direction and choreography, has been embraced by audiences and critics alike in sell out seasons across Australia and will play the Lyric Theatre, QPAC for two weeks only from 16 November, boasting a truly sensational cast headed by Dancing With The Stars' Josh Horner.

As the New York Observer said, 'The chance to see Michael Bennett's masterpiece again or for the first time, should not be missed.'

“Thrills from the opening number to the glittering finale” - New York Observer

“Sensational production worth standing in line for” - Adelaide Advertiser

“Compulsory viewing!” - The Age

“Don’t miss it!” - 3AW

Disappointing - dancing ordinary, too much talking and not enough 'SHOW' More poetic licence could have been made to make the show interesting. It was clearly a very cheap show to produce i.e. lighting, special effects (none). I could of stayed at home and watched the movie for free. Given the cheapest of settings, outfits etc., it could have been cheaper to attend.

As a former dancer I know how hard this talented group of performers worked, and they nailed it! To be able to perform for a full length show with no interval, props or fancy scenery they had to be on their toes and they were. !My daughters and I and loved it.

I just had the most wonderful evening. My Bestie and I had front row seats for A Chorus Line. We both thoroughly enjoyed the show. Even had one of the dancers recognize us after the show as the two from the front row who were singing along to all the songs....made our night :) Wish I could see it again and again. The dancing was spectacular the the voices outstanding. Well Done.

My daughter and I were really dissappointed in this show. It was very slow moving. We thought it would be a more lively performance. We definitely have seen better shows.

I enjoyed the show, but - the sound was far too loud. It spoilt the solo singing of a couple of the female singers who had great voices I found that I had to put my hands over my ears as the volume was almost grating. What exceptional talent all the dancers and singers have. Thank you
Outstanding!!!
