While one end of the building will be buzzing with refurbishment works, from an operational perspective, it will be business as usual at QPAC.
QPAC staff can be contacted throughout the works and the building will remain open to hirers and visitors.
The qtix box office counter will be relocated to the Playhouse.
There will also be some changes to vehicle and pedestrian access to the building:
The QPAC tunnel will be closed to pedestrians and vehicles from 7 November.
Cast and crew of performances and visitors to QPAC (other than patrons) will be permitted pedestrian access to the tunnel.
All public car parks will remain open. Entry to the Performing Arts car park will be from Grey Street via Russell Street or from Melbourne Street. Access to the Stanley Place car park and Art Gallery/Museum car park will remain the same. Entry to the Trust car park below QPAC will be limited.
Taxis will continue to use the drop off area in Russell Street for visitors to the Playhouse and Cremorne Theatres.
