Signs displaying a simplified map of routes to the parking zones within the precinct are located at:
Grey Street, south of William Jolly Bridge
Victoria Bridge outbound near QPAC
Vulture Street, south of Grey Street
Ernest Street inbound facing Gladstone Road
Signs at each car park and in other key areas around the precinct indicate availability of parking spaces at each venue. Find out more about the South Bank Parking Guidance System.
Using Queensland Cultural Centre Car Parks
Automatic Pay Stations To enable free flow of traffic exiting after a performance, patrons are required to pay the parking fee of $12 at the automatic pay stations on entry to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Art Gallery/Museum car parks. The pay stations accept payment by cash or credit card (MasterCard and Visa) and will print receipts on request.
Cash The pay stations will accept change, $5 notes, $10 notes and $20 notes only and will provide change in $1 and $2 coins. The pay stations will not accept $50 and $100 notes.
Credit Card Upon insertion of a credit card the $12 fee will be deducted, the card returned, receipts will be printed on request and the gate will then rise.
During peak times of pre-performances and events, the booths will be staffed for manual operation and to assist patrons with directions and information requirements. Staff will also be available in the event of pay station equipment failure. Unfortunately, staff will be unable to provide change for the car park.
