Brilliantly adapted from the beloved books by Australia's own P.L.Travers and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, MARY POPPINS will only be at the Lyric Theatre QPAC until 17 March, no extension is possible.

MARY POPPINS has captured the hearts of millions since premiering on the West End and Broadway, and now you can experience the unforgettable songs, stunning choreography and unsurpassed stagecraft of this extraordinary theatrical event.

Verity Hunt-Ballard

Verity graduated from WAAPA in 2003. Her theatrical credits include: Jersey Boys, The Rocky Horror Show, Virgins (The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Malthouse Theatre), After the Beep, Oklahoma, South Pacific, Eureka, and Metro Street, (The State Theatre Company of South Australia). Verity performed alongside Andrew Lippa in his Masterclass at The Adelaide Cabaret Festival, with improvisation spectacular - Spontaneous Broadway, and in sell-out cabaret Moments Of Breathtaking Stupidity. Verity is featured on Eddie Perfect's recording Drink Pepsi Bitch. Her screen credits include: Comedy Inc., G.M.A., Mornings With Kerri-Anne, Countdown and The Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala. In 2009 Verity won a Theatre Critics Award for Best Female Performance for her role in Metro Street and this year received the Green Room Award for Female Artist - Leading Role and the Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor in a Musical for her performance of Mary Poppins.

Matt Lee

Matt Lee is an Australian dance personality who first began his dance career at the age of five, training in every aspect of the performing arts. He has since gone on to star in some of Australia's favourite stage shows and become a respected choreographer.  Matt's stage credits include major roles in Miss Saigon, We Will Rock You, Hugh Jackman's The Boy from Oz, Rent, The Witches Of Eastwick, Oh' What A Night, Grease, Dein Perry's Steel City, Hot Shoe Shuffle and the Australian Opera production of Rags. Matt is the motion capture principal in the Oscar-winning animated feature Happy Feet.  Matt was a permanent member of the judging panel, as well as choreographer, of the Logie Award winning series So You Think You Can Dance for Network Ten, which earned him a 2009 Logie Nomination for Most Popular New Talent. His other screen credits include the major role of Jonno in the multiple AFI winning feature film Bootmen and a guest role in the Channel 7 series Home & Away.

Matt is widely recognised as a choreographer for his work with Hilary Duff, Human Nature, Guy Sebastian, Marcia Hines, and Christine Anu. In 2000, working as Choreographer with Australian pop group sister2sister, Matt toured worldwide supporting Pop Princess Britney Spears on her Oops I Did It Again tour. Matt choreographed the opening of the 2010 Logie Awards with six time ARIA award winner Gabriella Cilmi. Matt won the 2011 Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor in a Musical for his performance of Bert in Mary Poppins, a role he is thrilled to be playing in such an iconic production.

Simon Burke

One of Australia's most accomplished, respected and versatile performers, Simon began his career at the age of 13 when he starred in Fred Schepisi's acclaimed feature film The Devil's Playground for which he won the AFI Award for Best Actor. Since then he has enjoyed great success both in Australia and the UK in film, television, stage, concert appearances and cabaret.  In 2007 Simon travelled to the UK to star as Captain von Trapp opposite Connie Fisher in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of The Sound of Music at the London Palladium. He went on to appear as Joe in When The Rain Stops Falling at the Almeida Theatre, starred as Georges opposite John Barrowman's Albin in La Cage Aux Folles at the Playhouse Theatre, London, and in the West End premiere of Holding The Man at the Trafalgar Studios as well as reprising his role in The Sound of Music at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre.  Earlier UK theatre credits include Carl-Magnus in A Little Night Music at the (Royal National Theatre, Raoul in Phantom of the Opera (Her Majesty's Theatre), Leonardo in Leonardo - A Portrait of Love (Old Fire Station Oxford) Cliff in Cabaret (Crucible Theatre, Sheffield) Steve in Jeffrey (Greenwich Theatre) and The Life of the World to Come (Almeida Theatre).

Australian musical theatre credits include Marius in the original Australian cast of Les Miserables, Vernon in They're Playing Our Song, Harry in Company, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Whizzer in Falsettos (nominated Best Musical Performance Sydney Theatre Critics' Circle Awards), Dexter in High Society, Burrs in The Wild Party, George Puttnam in Take Flight and Billy Crocker in Anything Goes for which he received the Green Room Award for Best Actor in a Musical.  Sydney Theatre Company productions include Jonah Jones, The Herbal Bed, She Stoops to Conquer, Mr Kolpert and the world premiere of Up For Grabs. Simon played Mason Marzac in the Australian premiere of Take Me Out for the Melbourne Theatre Company and starred in the world premieres of October and Satango for Griffin Theatre Company. He created the role of Francis Bacon in Stephen Sewell's acclaimed Three Furies directed by Jim Sharman for 2005 Sydney Festival, 2006 Perth and Adelaide Festivals (nominated Best Actor Sydney Theatre Awards 2006). Simon's many television credits include Hustle, Rescue: Special Ops, The Alice, All Saints, Small Claims III, Thank God You're Here, South Pacific, Brides of Christ, Scales of Justice, Water Rats, Danielle Steele's The Ring, The One That Got Away, Heroes Mountain, After the Deluge, Grass Roots, Preservation and Postcard Bandit, and his 23-year stint as one of the most popular presenters on ABC TV's Play School. In 2006 he hosted his own television variety series Studio A With Simon Burke on Australia's FOXTEL network. Feature films include Passion, Pitch Black, and Travelling Light. From their inauguration in 2001 until 2006 Simon hosted and co-wrote the Helpmann Awards - honouring excellence in live performance in Australia. In January 2009 Simon was thrilled to make his debut at Carnegie Hall, where he hosted and performed in a gala concert AUSTRALIA PLAYS BROADWAY. His first solo album Something About Always, which he co-produced with Musical Director Daniel Edmonds, was released in 2009. His new solo show, also titled Something About Always, had its world premiere at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival June 2011. Current Federal President of Actors Equity. Proud Member since 1974.

Pippa Grandison

Featuring on Channel Nine's Underbelly Razor, Pippa's other recent career highlights include Small Time Gangster for Boiler Maker Burburry Entertainment and the role of Elphaba for the Sydney season of Broadway smash hit Wicked, for Gordon Frost Organisation.

In music theatre Pippa has also starred in Kookaburra's production of Company, Michael Coppel's We Will Rock You, The Production Company's The Pajama Game, Jacobsen Entertainment's The Witches of Eastwick, The Ensemble's production of Mary Bryant, Sydney Theatre Company's Into the Woods, and A Little Night Music. Other theatre credits include Bell Shakespeare's Just Macbeth, which played at Sydney Opera House and Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010, STC's Waikiki Hip and Black Rock, Company B's The Threepenny Opera, Company B and Hair of the Dog's production of The Misanthrope and The Vagina Monologues by BCHM.

Her television credits include: Magical Tales, All Saints, Balmain Boys, South Pacific, Twisted Tales, Water Rats, E Street, GP, Brides of Christ, Golden Fiddles, A Country Practice, and Come in Spinner. Pippa has also appeared in features films such as: Mr Accident, A Change of Heart, Hotel de Love, Dating the Enemy, Muriel's Wedding, and Over the Hill.

We came from Lismore NSW and this was absolutly fantastic, my 9yr old Granddaughter was mesmerised. She talked about it for weeks. Especially the ending, with the flying Nanny.

My daughter and I just loved every moment of this stage show. It was truely magical and the whole cast was wonderful. What fantastic performances from the show's lead actors, truely uplifting for the spirit.

Superb. The show was a joy to watch and listen to. Brilliant casting, amazing sets and lighting. The supporting orchestra was perfect. The best musical performance I have seen.
